Dear Friend of Seventh Street Christian Church:

 

This has been a year of transformation for SSCC. Since moving from our traditional worship space, we've welcomed new visitors and members who are drawn to our vibrant community. We've done the hard work of transition - our Launch, Landing, and Mission teams helped us find a buyer, sort through our 'stuff,' and begin dreaming about our future. And we celebrated and said goodbye to 4101 Grove Ave with gratitude.

 

Through it all, we've deepened connections - in book clubs and Bible studies where we share our lived experiences, through volunteering with Belmont Food Pantry, Soar 365, and VCU PACE Center. We continue to build a justice ministry with RISC (Richmonders Involved in Strengthening our Communities) to tackle critical community care problems like affordable housing and gun violence.

 

As we prepare for 2026, we want to build on this momentum through our fall stewardship season. We are preparing our 2026 budget, which the congregation will vote on in December.

 

Before then, we want to know your thoughts and wishes for the focus of our budget, even before we ask what gifts you might bring to support the many efforts of our ministry! We invite you to consider your hopes and wishes for our church ministry. As you continue in prayer for our growth, consider what budget areas should receive additional focus moving into 2026!
